B.S. PROGRAM

B.A. Program Intro

PROGRAM INTRODUCTION

For undergraduate study, the Department has developed a curriculum providing students with a broad base to build an electro-optical engineering career. Courses include both basic sciences (physics and mathematics), and engineering sciences (optic communication, display technologies, optical engineering, Nano/Bio optics and photonics, and optoelectronic materials and devices). The Department of electro-optical Engineering also offers laboratory courses on physical, photoelectric, electronic, and electromagnetic.
By completing undergraduate courses with at least 132 credits students can get the Degree of Bachelor. In addition to 33 required credits and 69 credits for required courses in electro-optical Department, according to his/her own interest and career goal, student also has to complete at least 30 credits of elective courses in electro-optical Department. Undergraduate students can take graduate-level courses, provided that they can obtain permission from the instructors-in-charge. Moreover, students can enroll in 15 credits offered by other departments of the University to help them pursue their academic interests, satisfy their credit requirement, and achieve their career goals.
