Peng-Chun Peng received the Ph.D. degree from the Institute of Electro-Optical Engineering, National Chiao Tung University, Taiwan, in 2005. From 2006 to 2008, he was a faculty member in the National Chi Nan University, Taiwan. In 2008, he joined the National Taipei University of Technology, Taiwan, as a faculty member. His research interests include optical communication systems, optical signal processing, vertical-cavity surface-emitting lasers, fiber sensors,  and microwave photonics. He has authored and coauthored more than 90 journal papers and 8 granted patents. His publications have been cited over 1300 times (H-index: 20).
